Brass Embossing

I don't have any suggestions for cutting shapes economically other than using a craft knife and a cutting mat, but a friend of mine has been successfully dry embossing using her old pasta machine! You could experiment with a cheap pasta machine (I got mine for $5 at a sale) and see if you get the effect you want with it? You just run your paper and embossing folders through the machine.
