My serviced office provider is trying to pinch money from my deposit. What can I do?
I took a serviced office for 3 months and for various reasons it has literally been used for a month at most. It is absolutely immaculate apart from a couple of tiny blu tac stains. They use cheap white emulsion on the partioning and so it stains extremely easily. In any case, it is literally a one second job with white emulsion and the stain is gone.
Ridiculously they are trying to take £100 off my deposit to cover a redecoration!! It's crazy as I left the office in truly pristine condition and have never had a penny deducted from a deposit in all my life.
Bearing in in mind that I am talking about a commercial office space rented in the name of a limited company, I would really appreciate some advice on what I can do?
This is difficult because it is a civil matter. The only thing you can do is to let them know that if they deduct the money then you will sue them. Take out a small claims action in the county court.
