When I print the drawing or photograph on glossy photo paper with my inkjet, it looks great, but if I want to use this image in a craft project, and not have the ink purge (if it is touched or rubbed gets water on it) how can I fix this? I tried fixing, but sometimes it runs. Will help if I let it dry for a few days? Anyone have any advice on this? Thank you ...

The best type of ink jet to use for craft projects is one that uses pigment inks. For example produce inkjet printers that use Epson UltraChrome inks and DuraBrite. They are not quite as good high gloss printing photos, but the inks are very stable. I use one with UltraChrome inks and can pour water on the print immediately after leaving the printer and the ink does not flow. However, it is preferable to leave an impression ink pigment night to allow printing to set properly before using in craft projects.
