Is it wrong for me to talk with representatives of a religion just because I'm interested in their beliefs?
Today, two "Elders" from the Church of Christ came to my house and started talking to me about their beliefs and the Book of Mormon. I didn't want to be rude, so I listened and respected them. I am atheist, and have absolutely no intentions in joining their faith. They asked if there would be a time when they could come back and explain in greater detail, and me not wanting to be rude said yes. They said it would be around 40 minutes, but the only reason I agreed was because I like learning about different faiths. I find it interesting. Would it be wrong to have them spend time talking to me about their religion for 40 minutes with no intention of converting? Should I just leave them a note the day they're supposed to come back saying that something came up?
I GREATLY agree with Nephihah's answer. Obviously, by the username, I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. You sound EXACTLY the same as I did when the Elders first came to my door. I was interested in learning about their religion but definitely not interested in converting to their church. We set a time in 2 days for them to come back, so I had TWO DAYS to feel all the feelings you are feeling. I spent the next two days wondering why on earth I had invited them to come back. I seriously hoped they would forget that they promised to come back... They didn't. 
By listening to their message, I found that the little things I always knew in my heart to be true that didn't jive with the religion I sort of belonged to (ELCA Lutheran) were the things that were basic to the Mormon faith! By listening, I found that the things that made me a "weird" Lutheran were the very same things that proved that I was a Mormon at heart.
These young men are accustomed to rejection and are just glad to get a chance to share their message. You should feel no obligation to continue to have them come over or to convert to the church. Just listen to YOUR heart. Our Heavenly Father put us on this earth with our agency (our free will) to make our own decisions in this life. Heavenly Father is pleased that you have simply accepted the opportunity to learn more. Listen with an open mind and an open heart. Pay attention to how you feel inside while they are talking to you and afterward. You will know inside (maybe not immediately, but after some pondering) whether this is right for YOU. One of our reasons for being on this earth is to learn as much as we can about ourselves and our relationship with our Creator.
I think it's great when people of different faiths can have a meaningful conversation about religion. Both sides will learn from each other. These young men are learning so much about relationships, communication and people. They have much to learn from a conversation with you. An open heart and an open mind will bring great opportunities to learn for both parties!
