Lot Rubber

I live in a warm climate, similar to Georgia in the southern United States, but the winters are dry and some interim can drop below freezing at night. Day is usually 10 to 15C and sunny in day. I have a rubber tree plant, but it is too big to take home. I also want to avoid spending lots of money DIY center on a sort of mini-greenhouse. Can I keep the outside covered with a garbage bag translucent thick perhaps? Water every two days.

Plastic covering rarely works to keep plants warm. They often freeze when the plastic touches the leaves. Can you cook up a teepee, as greenhouse using three sticks and Visqueen? If you put a string of Christmas lights inside, your plant should do fine.
