Gymnastics / Cheer - Help-off round?
Thus arises, I have my standing back handspring, but I have a sucky rounded. I do not understand! I can not get my feet set at 12 hours. They meet more than one hour. I try and try, but I can not doing things right. Tips? Help anyone?
The way I used to consider a round-off is that it a wheel with a handstand in the middle. The way I used to practice my round was a little exercise my coach me learned. First, you start with your dominant leg and arm upward (as if you were on the verge of the wheel). Start making the wheel, but do not rush things. Take an easy pace. Once you reach the top of the wheel, instead of finishing the wheel, stop and remain in balance on the hands. Then down from the ATR with your feet together. If you do it enough you can get an idea of how to get your legs on top of the flare. Once you've perfected the drill, you can start your round again. However, running with the question. Fixed start and only occurs not much power in it. Remember your focus is right now no power, but control. You want to make sure that your feet come together at the right place. So do a bit rounded while focusing less on the power of your rounded and more about what your feet are doing. If you can not have the feet together at the right time, did last year again. After your position perfectly rounded, you can start running rounding. Do not throw a powerful unless you have the control part of the move down first. It's a basic rule when it comes to all movements gymnastics. I hope it helped. Do not get too frustrated. Just take the slow down.
