How long can I travel abroad on my green card?
How long can I stay out of the USA and travel abroad on my green card and still be able to return to the USA without any problems? I am considering traveling to the UK for 2 months at the very most as my mother is ill. Will that be possible?

I am considering traveling to the UK for 2 months at the very most as my mother is ill. Will that be possible? (I thought it was obvious so I didn't originally say, but yes I have a passport).
6 months and you lose continuous residence for naturalization.
12 months and you need a re-entry permit BEFORE you leave or you will lose your green card.
24 months and you lose your green card.
For two months you are OK!
You still need a passport.
